Privacy policy

Who this policy covers
This policy covers the details you share with Florida Garage Door Masters on flgaragedoormasters.com, over the phone or in an email. We are a garage door repair, service and installation company working in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, Florida.
Questions about this policy go to flgaragedoormasters@gmail.com or (786) 349-6912.
What the booking form asks for
To book, you give us your name, a phone number, the street address and ZIP code of the door, and what the door is doing. You also choose when you would like us to come: as soon as possible, a day and a two-hour window you pick, or whenever is convenient. A short note is optional. If you arrived from one of our offers, its coupon code is sent too.
You choose whether we should call or text you. By sending the form, you agree that we may contact you that way about this request only. We never send marketing texts.
The note box is not the place for bank card numbers or passwords. We never ask for them there.
What the site adds to each request
Each request also carries a few details the site adds on its own: the address of the page you sent it from, and whether that page was in English or Spanish. It includes the network (IP) address of your connection and the rough area, such as the city, that the connection points to. We use these to route the request and to stop spam and repeated automated posts.
Where your request goes
The request goes to our dispatch team through a private group in a messaging app. So that no request is lost if that app is down, the website also keeps a backup copy of each booking request in our web host's storage. That copy is kept for up to 180 days and then removed. From the dispatch team, the details may be copied into the software we keep job records in, such as scheduling and invoices.
How we use your details
Your details are used for one thing: the job you asked about. That means calling or texting you, as you chose, to set a time, asking about the door, doing the work and recording what was done. You won't be put on a mailing list. Your information is never sold, rented or handed to advertisers, and it goes to others only when the law requires it.
What you tell us on a call or in an email is handled the same way, for the job you contacted us about.
Companies that handle data for us
A few outside services are involved. The company that hosts this website also processes the booking form and stores the backup copies, and the messaging app carries requests to our dispatch team. Our email provider and the software we keep job records in complete the list, and each one handles information under its own privacy terms.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Its fonts are served from this website itself, and no maps or other outside widgets are embedded in the pages. Like any web host, the company that serves the pages processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver them and protect the site from abuse.
If customer reviews are shown on a page, the page fetches them from a review service, and nothing you typed into the form is sent with that fetch.
How long we keep records
We keep a request and the job record for as long as we need them for the work, for questions about it afterward, and for ordinary business and tax records. After that, we delete them. The backup copy the website keeps of a booking request is removed after 180 days.
Your choices
You may ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected, or have them deleted. The one exception is a record we must keep for tax or legal reasons. Email flgaragedoormasters@gmail.com or call (786) 349-6912, and mention your reference number if you have one.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging a garage door repair. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Florida law and updates
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. When we change it, we update the effective date shown above.
